Create information on the run
Everyone is an expert in how they live their lives. There is no one who has had as much experience living your life as you. This includes the way you travel everyday. Meanwhile, we have transport planners trying to understand how we travel and what problems we need to fix. Maybe a pool of people’s knowledge could be more profound and useful than any measurements and models transport planners have ever tried to use. It might also be more fun.
The plan is to provide you with templates for you to use to conduct a survey within your own life. You will not need to have any training, just the ability to count or to look at your watch. Then either print out one of the forms to write down the figures or get to a computer and fill it out.
The beauty is you will be helping to potentially improve the planning of transport and information for other transport users without having to take a step out of your way!
